All day long uniformed honor guard’s will be posted at the monument. Uniformed fire, police, EMS and military members are invited to please come at any time to stand vigil.
At 6:30 p.m. the closing ceremonies begin with the Ring of Gold, circling the monument (all current and past chief officers from fire, EMS and law enforcement agencies to participate) and flags returned to full staff.
Thanks to Genna Smith, Vice president of the Brockport Volunteer Firefighter Association Inc. Auxiliary, for writing with details about the organization's upcoming Easter Egg hunt.
The group's community Easter Egg hunt will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, April 15 at the Brockport Exempts Club, 248 West Ave., Brockport.
