![]() The Ancient Order of Hibernians (AOH), Col. Patrick O’Rorke Division 7 Monroe County is holding a benefit to raise money for the victims of Hurricane Maria in Puerto Rico. The event will take place from 1 to 7 p.m. on Sunday, October 29, 2017, at Caverly’s Irish Pub, 741 South Ave., Rochester. The day’s events include 50/50 raffles, door prize raffles and live Irish and popular music. Scheduled musicians include Eamonn McCormack, Brian Quigley, Jerry Dixon, Peg Dolan, Ben and Maeve Mac An Tuile, Kevin Reynolds and others. All funds that are raised will be donated to the Puerto Rico hurricane relief agencies. Attendees are encouraged to bring a dish to pass. The Ancient Order of Hibernians is America’s oldest Irish Catholic Fraternal Organization founded concurrently in the coal-mining region of Pennsylvania and New York City in May, 1836. The Order can trace its roots back to a series of similar societies that existed in Ireland for more than 300 years. The AOH Monroe County Division was organized in 1896 and currently has over 150 active members. AOH Rochester very active in community service and charitable works in the Greater Rochester Area.
